Winterport and Guilford – Portor M. White, 79, passed away June 22, 2026, at Rose of Sharon Assisted Living. He was born March 15, 1947, in Cambridge, the son of Cecil and Doris (Kimball) White.

Portor was a hard working man, he spent many years as a supervisor in the card room at Guilford Industries then moved on and was a boiler operator and night watchman at Moosehead Manufacturing in Monson. He was a life-long Red Sox and Patriots fan. He did his best to take care of his family and always had that look on his face that he was proud of us in whatever we did (even if we were being naughty). Portor was best known for being extremely jumpy and afraid of spiders. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family unconditionally. Portor never judged anyone and always met people where they were at, which made for a lot of great friendships. He would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed and will always be loved.

Portor is survived by six children, Tracy Morin and her husband, Jim, Lori Ricker and her husband, Rick, Ricky Spack and his wife, Dawn, Randy Spack and his wife, Robin, Ryan White and his wife, Stephanie, and Jason White; 14 grandchildren, Darin Spack, Jessica Gilbert, Zachary Pratt, Logan Morin, Maygen Burgess, Brittany Nadeau, , Mitchel Noyes, Briker Raye, Kjersten Merrill, Bailey Spack, Taylor Stewart, Sheila McEwen, Kason White, and Abrey White; brothers, Gerald, Stephen, and Sheldon White; sister, Sharon Sissons; two ex-wives, Janice Brawn and Diane White; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lorrie Pratt; granddaughter, Courtney Nadeau; brothers, Cecil, Sonny, and Carroll White; sisters, Carrie Ann Carter, Glenis Koprowski, Olive Tarr, and Gladys Lombard; and favorite pal, his dog, Dogga.

A graveside memorial service will be held 1PM Friday, July 3, 2026, at the family lot in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
