Dover-Foxcroft - With hearts full of gratitude and sadness, we announce the passing of our mom, Wilhelmina “Mina” Earley Shaw on June 13, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born July 22, 1930, in Guilford, the daughter of Drummond and Margaret (Andrews) Earley. Mina and her late husband, Charles Shaw, were married 76 years before his passing in 2025. They raised two daughters, Kathryn Downer and Barbara Hamlin. She is survived by her two daughters; four grandchildren, Amy, Sheri, Macready, Jill; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Earley; and sister, Linda Parent.

Mina and her husband traveled to many locations to visit their daughters’ families across the country, enjoying the many attractions they encountered along the way. Their cottage at Schoodic Lake was a special place where they entertained their family every summer. She will be remembered for the many miles she paddled in her orange kayak!

Mina had a great work ethic, including her office job at Wards Department Store, the Merrill Trust Company, and in the office of Superintendent of Schools. She was an avid crafter, especially doing counted cross stitch and rug braiding, creating beautiful pieces for her family. She was fiercely independent!
