Guilford - Lorraine A. Wentworth (Darke), 89, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. Lorraine was the first born of 6 children to Emma (Scott) and Ira Darke in Danforth, Maine on March 25, 1937. Lorraine married her high school sweetheart at the age of 16 and they were married for over 50 years. Together they raised 4 children. She worked over 30 years at Hardwood Products and resided at Riverbend Drive where she developed many life long friendships. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading her kindle and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Randy Wentworth and his wife, Cheri; her daughter, Nancy Crabtree and her fiancé, Alvin McDonald; grandchildren, Wade, Amy, Corey, Nicky, Ashley, Eric, Jamie and Stephanie; 18 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Washburn and Debbie Cox; son-in-law, Dennis Cookson; and a great friend, Lynda Smart. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Basil Sr.; daughter, Linda; son, Basil Jr.; sister, Donna; brothers, Roger and Norman; and great-grandson, Skylar.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Village Cemetery in Abbot with Pastor Dave Mumford officiating. Memorial donations may be made to PAWS in Milo, 39 Clinton Street, Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
