George P. Tozier Obituary
Guilford – George P. Tozier, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 18, 2026, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born at the same hospital in 1939, the son of Walter and Shirley (Wyman) Tozier. George was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army for 3 years in Fort Campbell in Kentucky. He learned to fly his own plane on land and sea. George loved taking his boys on fishing trips and boating trips, camping, and beekeeping. He drove school bus for many years until he had a heart attack; the kids all loved him. In his later years, he started cowboy action shooting and won many awards and trophies. He will be greatly missed by his family.
George was predeceased by his parents and older brother, David Tozier; sisters, Josephine Tarr, and Marilyn Staples; and son-in-law, Roger Rowe. He is survived by his younger sister, Linda Tozier; wife of 63 years, Judith Beckwith Tozier; their three children and spouses, Kevin and Virginia Tozier, David and Esther Tozier, and Lisa Rowe; special brother-in-law, “Buddy” Beckwith and sister-in-law, Gerry; twelve grandbabies; twelve great-grandbabies; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3PM Saturday, June 6, at the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman. Refreshments will immediately follow the service at the Grace Bible Church in Sangerville.
