Mary Jane (Lavigne) Marshall Obituary
Dover Foxcroft - Mary Jane (Lavigne) Marshall, 94, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. She was born October 7, 1931, the daughter of Richard and Ursula Maude (Aubin) Lavigne. She married Theodore "Ted" Marshall on June 25, 1955. They made their home in Dover-Foxcroft.
Jane was an avid quilter and loved her quilting group. She quilted until she was nearly 90. She was also a "shopper"; she loved to go shopping just to look around. Jane worked at various jobs while raising her three boys, including the local school and then retired from the Central Maine Power office in Dover Foxcroft after many years of service.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, Ted Marshall in June 2021, after nearly 66 years of marriage; her sons, Mark Marshall and Scott Marshall, both in December of 2021 only five days apart; her two sisters, Lucille Thibeault and Juanita Tidd; and her brother, Francis Lavigne. She is survived by her son, Bret Marshall and wife, Lorna of Dover-Foxcroft; her brother, Thomas "Tommy" Lavigne of Greenville; and her grandchildren, step-granddaughters; and great-grandchildren
Jane had been a resident of Hibbard's Nursing Home for two years. The special care unit and her hospice team went above and beyond with her care for which the family is very grateful.
At Jane’s request there will be no services. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Willimantic. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
