Sebec – Eleanor B. Sellar, 101, passed away April 14, 2026, at Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born in Milton, MA on October 29, 1924, the daughter of William E. and Eleanor E. (Dunn) Bullock.

Eleanor was a graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1942. She worked for many years as a Medical Receptionist for South Shore Medical Center in Norwell, MA. She watched over many doctors’ homes and pets while they traveled away from home. She loved to travel with her husband, John, in their trailer. After becoming widowed in 1987, Eleanor continued to travel all around the world and made many friends along the way. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Eleanor is survived by her nephews, Bill Meacham of Fulton, NY, and Steven Gillard, of Sebec. She was predeceased by her husband, John, a WWII and Korean War Veteran; parents, William and Eleanor Bullock; sisters, Virginia Waters, Barbara Meacham, and Florence Purnell; and niece, Deborah Gillard.

There will be no services at this time. Eleanor will be laid to rest in the Bowerbank Cemetery with her sister, Florence, and niece, Deborah. Memorial donations may be made to Hibbard Skilled Nursing Activities Fund, P.O. Box 159 Dover-Foxcroft, ME, 04426, and the Sebec Village Community Christian Church, 734 Sebec Village Road, Sebec, ME, 04481.
