Stephen John Lauritsen Obituary

Milo - Stephen John Lauritsen, 49, passed away recently on February 27, 2026 from complications of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Born on September 9, 1976 in Woodbridge Township, NJ, he was the son of the late Allen and Nancy (Gastgaber) Lauritsen.

Stephen was a man who spent much of his time hunting and fishing. However, his life on land was often difficult. He lived a life marked by flaws and hard choices that created distance between him and those who should have been closest to him.

He is survived by his son, Devin Lauritsen of Greenville, ME, along with his brothers, Joseph Lauritsen of New Hampshire and Erik Lauritsen (Jennifer) of Bucksport, ME. In addition, he leaves behind two ex-wives, Suzanne Owens of Greenville, ME and Tiffany Lauritsen, unknown.

Stephen made many mistakes as a father and a man. He carried the weight of those failures with him. While his passing leaves behind a complicated legacy, there is a quiet hope that he found the peace in death that he struggled to find in life.
