Milo - Kathleen “Kay” S. Boyer, 103, passed to her heavenly home February 15, 2026. She was born October 22, 1922, in Atkinson, the daughter of C. Elber and Alta (Smith) Stewart. The family moved to Charleston, where she grew up and married the love of her life, Merle O. For twenty-four years, she enjoyed teaching third-grade Sunday school and sharing her love of God with children. She was a member of the Charleston, Milo, and Dover Baptist Churches.
Kay was predeceased by her husband, Merle Boyer Sr.; son, Merle Boyer Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; sons-in-law, Ernest Palmiter and Tony Brown; grandchildren, Cynthia Boyer and James Pickard IV; and sisters, Athalie Boyer, Christine Smith, and Wilma Carr. She is survived by her children, Anita (Bob) Theriault, Karen Boyer, and Loretta Brown; grandchildren, Seth (Stacey) Palmiter, Corey (Amie) Palmiter, Dawn (Tom) Murray, Kara Boyer, and Michelle (Patrick) Duffy; great-grandchildren, Robert, Kadon, Morgan, Meadow, Jack, Oakley, Benjamin, and Catherine; great-great-grandchild, Logan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
