Guilford – Evelyn McCourt Turner, 86, passed away peacefully January 26, 2026, at Hilltop Manor in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born March 11, 1939, in Lewiston, the daughter of Allen and Winnifred (Howell) McCourt. Evelyn was a faithful member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for many years. She was a longtime volunteer for the Mayo Regional Hospital Auxiliary, as well as the Guilford Library. She enjoyed swimming, biking, crocheting, quilting, and cooking for her family.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Peter Robichaud and his significant other, Cassie, and Scott Robichaud and his wife, Shannon; two daughters, Suzan Reed and her husband, Allan, and Diane Seamans and her husband, Cary; sister, Jane Hibbard Merrill and her husband, Charles; seven grandchildren, Danielle Scherer, Andrew Reed, Edward Robichaud, Tyler Seamans, Zachary Seamans, Shawna Oakes, and Sydny Robichaud; ten great-grandchildren, Mason, Avery, Eloise, Estelle, Blair, Ridley, Rylie, Gracelyn, Brooklyn, and Mylie; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla and Cynthia McCourt; step-son, Seth Fortier; two step-daughters, Kimberly Wintle and Tarina Eckhardt; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Rexford Turner; parents, Allen and Winnifred McCourt; and two brothers, George and Stanton McCourt.
Family and friends are invited to visit 1PM until time of funeral service at 2PM, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft, with Deacon Dave Denbow officiating. Burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Willimantic will be held in the spring next to her late husband of 32 years, Rex, who passed away in November. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
