Parkman – Sherry Lee Burdin, 81, passed away peacefully at home January 22, 2026. She was born November 5, 1944, the daughter of Myrle and Ferne (Davis) Beckwith.
Sherry’s life was deeply rooted in the state of Maine, where she was born and spent her years surrounded by the natural beauty she cherished. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life; Especially going for rides through the countryside and watching animals in their natural surroundings. These quiet moments brought her peace and reflected her deep appreciation for nature. Sherry loved visiting with family and friends. Her home was often filled with conversation and laughter, a gathering place where bonds were strengthened and storied shared. Her presence brought comfort to those around her.
Family was at the heart of Sherry’s world. She was a devoted mother to her children, James Burdin and wife, Roberta; Kelly Burdin and wife, Deborah; Corey Burdin and wife, Tancy; Rebecca Burdin; Sonya Burdin and husband, Perley; Shannon Ross and husband, Allen; and Ann Marie Burdin. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Tozier and husband, George; and her brother, Buddy Beckwith and wife, Geri. Sherry also had a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law, Diane Burdin. Sherry’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Danielle, Jesse, Chase, Laura, Jordyn, Spencer, Rebecca, Alex, Josie, and Christian; as well as many great grandchildren who will carry forward the warmth of her memory. Sherry was predeceased by her parents; loving partner of many years, Bill; as well as her son, Joel Burdin. Their memories remain an enduring part of Sherry’s story.
