Willis E. Whitten Obituary

Milo – Willis E. Whitten, 72, passed away unexpectedly January 7, 2026. He was born March 24, 1953, in Milo, the son of Richard L. and Ellen M. (McGrath) Whitten. Willis worked all his life as an over-the-road truck driver. He loved the outdoors. He was a very outgoing person and always put everyone else first. If anyone had any issue, Willis was always there to help.


Willis was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda (Calvert) Whitten; his parents, Richard and Ellen Whitten; and brothers, Norman, Richard, and Donald Whitten. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Whitten, William Whitten, and Chris Whitten; daughter-in-law, Catherine Green; brother, Harold Whitten; grandchildren, Danielle Waterhouse and husband, Zachary, Joseph Whitten Jr., Dana Sherwood and fiancé, Zackery Wagner, Karri Whitten, and Megan Whitten; and great-grandchildren, Aria Jayne Wagner, Hunter Daniel Whitten, and Josie Rose Whitten.


A graveside service will be held in the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, in spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
