Dover-Foxcroft - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kimberly “Kym” Denise Baron, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the age of 56, following a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by love, Kym showed strength, grace, and unwavering resilience throughout her journey.
Kym was born on August 14, 1969, in Hayward, California, to Pamela Lee Thomas and Dennis Ray Baron. She had the kindest and biggest heart and a spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Above all else, Kym was a proud mother to her three children—Nicole, Danika, and Kyra—who were truly her greatest joys.Kym was also a cherished grandmother — lovingly known as “Mayma.” She adored her grandchildren Kylie, Kendall, Kyle, Krew, Kash, and soon to be baby Kaiden. Her love for them was boundless, and she found endless happiness in watching them grow, learn, and play.
Kym had a lifelong passion for sports, especially when it came to cheering on her children. She could always be found in the stands, faithfully keeping stats not just for her own children, but for the entire team. As her grandchildren grew, she proudly followed along in their athletic journeys as well.
Kym’s strength was unmatched - she battled cancer four times and faced each fight with incredible resilience. She truly was as tough as they come. A devoted Raiders fan through and through, Kym loved watching them play. Another thing Kym loved was the ocean and always cherished visiting whenever she could.
Kym is survived by her loving mother, Pam, and stepfather, Roger Giles; her brother, Dennis “Brook” Baron and wife, Zsuzsanna, and nephew Dennis “DJ”; daughters, Nicole and husband, Jeffrey, Danika and husband, Kevin, and Kyra and husband, Zac; and grandchildren, Kylie, Kendall, Kyle, Krew, Kash, and soon to be Kaiden. Kym was predeceased by her father, Dennis Baron; Kelsey Kimball; and grandmother, Dorothy Daggett.
Those who knew Kym will remember her for her strength, and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and deep devotion that will continue to live on through those she loved so dearly.
The family wishes to thank the amazing angel nurses through Northern Light Hospice, especially Melissa, Kym’s oncologist, Dr. Bhandari, and Palliative Care Doctor, Dr. Martin, the staff at SeDoMocha, her lifelong friends, Cindy and Lynnette, all friends and family who went above and beyond to help, as well as all of Kym’s colleagues at Northern Light in Sangerville.
