Margaret "Peggy" A. Robinson Obituary

Dexter and Dover-Foxcroft – Margaret “Peggy” Atwater Robinson, 81, passed away December 19, 2025, at her home on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter. She was born July 13, 1944, in Dexter, the daughter of Roland and Helen (Fotter) Atwater. Peggy attended Dexter schools and graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1962. She adored her home on Lake Wassookeag and will be remembered as being a very family oriented wife, mother, and grandmother. Peggy loved reading, cooking, shopping, and her beloved pets.


Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James “Jim” M. Robinson Sr.; three children, Jennifer Cleaves and her husband, William “Bill”, James “Jamie” Robinson Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, and Mark Robinson and his wife, Kelly; eleven grandchildren, Will Cleaves and his wife, Salina, Jeffrey Robinson and his wife, Victoria, Jarrod Robinson and his wife, Kaitlin, Cody Coiley, Justin Cleaves and his wife, Felicia, James Cleaves, Brooke White and her husband, Cody, Mackenzie Coiley, Blaine Robinson, Ben Morrill and his wife, Samantha, and Ashley Robinson; special sister, Patricia Robinson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Virginia Robinson; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Elizabeth Robinson; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Maynard and Rosalie Hammond, Jim and Jo an Conley, Alfred and Roberta Robinson, and John Robinson


The family wishes to thank Peggy’s caregivers who she truly loved, Rose, Jackie, Sherry, and Kelly, and her dialysis team who meant the world to her. The compassionate care from them all was truly a gift to her and the family.


Visitation for family and friends will be held 2-4PM Monday, December 22, at the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street,Dover-Foxcroft, where a funeral service will be held 11:30AM Tuesday, December 23. Burial will be in the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. After the services a celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at The Mill Inn + Café, 5 East Main St., Dover-Foxcroft. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foxcroft Academy Track and Field, 975 West Main Street, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426, or to the First Universalist Church, P.O.
