Virginia G. "Ginny" Brown Obituary

Virginia “Ginny” G. Brown, 75, passed away on December 11, 2025, at her home in Madison, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 6, 1950, in Etna, the daughter of Stanley and Marion Brown.

Ginny worked for many years at Hardwood Products. She was a devoted mother to her four children. She brought joy everywhere she went. She loved to dance, sing, and was happiest when thrifting or yard sailing, always searching for something for someone else. Her generous heart, vibrant spirit, and ability to make anyone feel welcomed made her the life of every gathering. Ginny also adored her animals, especially Billy, Willy, and Tigger.

She is survived by her significant other, Charles Wells, of Madison; her sons, Russell LaBlanc Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of Sangerville, Dana LaBlanc of Dover-Foxcroft, and Jesse LaBlanc of Springvale; her daughter, Melanie Ayer and her husband, Danny, of Madison; her stepson, Brent Wells of Madison; and a very special, Uncle Dicky of Benton. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Brittany, Devenee, Danastacia, and Deseray; as well as twelve great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy. Ginny was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Sheldon, Marlon, Glendene, Charlene, and Debra; and her beloved grandson, Chris Alan Ames Jr.

Ginny will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and boundless love-and light that will continue to shine in everyone who was blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the American Legion in Dover-Foxcroft. Anyone who would like to bring a dish for a potluck is warmly welcome, as the family comes together to honor and remember Ginny’s beautiful spirit.
