Sangerville - Harvey M. Leland, 84, passed away on November 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Northern Light Hospital. He was born on August 17, 1941, to Walter and Jennie (Hall) Leland.

After graduating from PCHS in 1959, Harvey proudly served in the United States Air Force until 1963. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Dolly Sargent, and they raised two boys, Tony and Tim. Harvey worked in various saw mills until retiring from Hancock Lumber.

Throughout his life Harvey enjoyed doing anything that involved being with his family. They were his whole world. He was very involved in any organization that his boys were part of. Harvey enjoyed hunting at the family camp, fishing trips with his sons and grandsons, camping, golfing, and trips to Florida. But most of all he loved the simple things like sitting on the back deck surrounded by his family and his friends.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Dolly; his beloved son, Tim (Kate) and their son, Sean; Scott Buzzell, whom Harvey thought of as a son and his family, Sherry, Stewart and Shannon; his grandchildren, TJ (Erin), Jessica, Joey (Laurie), and Brady; great-grandchildren, Judah, Sage, Runa, Eliza, Cameron, Emma, Jackson, Trevor, and Henry; a very special sister-in-law, Carolyn Leland (Dave Shaw); nieces and nephew and their families, Cathy (Mark)Phillips, Schuylar and Spencer; Kerri Raymond, Lexi and Leishi; Walter Leland and Jamie. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Gilmore, Delmont, and Howard; and by his son, Tony.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the East Sangerville neighborhood, along with Karen Dow and her dog, Katie, and Maryann Johnson of Pine Tree Hospice, for the caring for and loving Harvey.

A celebration of Harvey’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Grace Bible Church on Douty Hill Rd. in Sangerville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Harvey’s memory to Pine Tree Hospice, 883 W. Main Street. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
