Milo – Michael L. Clark Sr., 88, passed away November 20th, 2025, in Dover-Foxcroft after a long illness. He was born April 21st 1937, in Millinocket, the son of Hollis and Izetta (Barker) Clark.
Michael was a 1955 graduate of Milo High School. After graduating, he proudly served in the Air Force in aircraft maintenance. After that, he went on to become a turbine engineer/electrician at Great Northern Paper Company from where he retired after 40 years. He married Karen Horne on December 4th, 1965 and they had three children. Their 60th anniversary would’ve been next month.
Mike was a lovable curmudgeon. He enjoyed travel, including cruises with Karen, fishing, and loved cats- they got each other’s grumpy, yet sweet nature. Throughout his life, Mike stubbornly overcame hurdles and illnesses. When asked how he was doing, he’d joke with anyone, including his young granddaughters, with a grunt, “well, I’m still here”. Even now, he is still here.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, two children, Tanis Pomerleau and husband, Don, and Michael “Lee” Clark Jr.; three granddaughters, Jaimee Lambert and husband, Greg, Jessica Holland and partner, Paul, and Christina Holland and partner, Brandon; great-granddaughter, Idris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorette Clark, Tom Horne, Larry Keef, Howard “Happy” Horne, and Janet Richards and husband, Donnie; and many nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Perry Clark and Nancy Bowley and her husband, Carleton; daughter, ToniLyn Clark; sisters-in-law, Linda Keef and Carol Horne; brother-in-law, Ricky Horne; and son-in-law Dan Thibodeau.
A memorial service will be held 11AM Wednesday, November 26th at the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft. Burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
