Guilford - Rexford R. Turner Jr., 84, passed away suddenly November 16, 2025, at his home. He was born August 23, 1941, in Willimantic, the son of Violet (Leighton) and Rexford R. Turner Sr.
After completing high school Rex enlisted and served his country with in the U.S. Army for 6 years; discharging and coming home in 1966. He was a dedicated employee and supervisor at Guilford of Maine for more than 30 years. Rex loved his Turner family and enjoyed spending time with them in Willimantic. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Rex is survived by his wife, Evelyn (McCourt) Turner; two daughters, Kimberly Wintle and Tarina Eckhardt and her husband, Dane; son, Seth Fortier and his wife, Alexa, and their daughter, Tina; three grandchildren, Jenny, Josh, and Jade; five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, Remi, Storey, and Gemma; two brothers, Valentine “Keezy” Turner and his wife, Frances, and Lynwood “Timmy” Turner and his significant other, Madeline; two sisters, Jackie Gorey and husband, George, and Beverly Duplessis and her husband, Martin; two step-daughters, Suzan Reed and her husband, Allan, and Diane Seamans and husband, Cary; two step-sons, Peter Robichaud and his significant other, Cassie, and Scott Robichaud and his wife, Shannon; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, David Turner; and great-granddaughter, Freya Knowlton.
Family and friends are invited to call 11AM Tuesday, November 25, 2025, until time of funeral service at 12Noon, at the Lary Funeral Home in Dover-Foxcroft.
