Orneville – Cheryl A. Russell, 76, passed away peacefully November 13, 2025, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born August 3, 1949, in Milo, the daughter of Willis C. and Roberta E. (Herbest) Gerrish. Cheryl will be remembered by her family as a feisty woman who loved shopping, crafting, knitting, and quilting. They will miss her great cooking, especially her yeast rolls and blueberry muffins. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Milo.
Cheryl is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Russell and Crystal Grant and her husband, Chad; four grandchildren, Bradley Brown, Cooper Brown, Macee Grant and her significant other, Chris Morton, and Mylee Grant; great-grandson, Reece Brown; two sisters, Cathy Ames and Teresa Goodine and her husband, Norman; special nephew, Jason Gerrish; and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her loving husband, Carroll Russell, she was predeceased by her parents, and her son-in-law, Danny Brown.
A funeral service will be held 10AM Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo.
