Lagrange – Eugene N. Turner, 80, passed away October 30, 2025, at his home. He was born October 16, 1945, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Gerald E. and Florence E. (Strout) Turner. Eugene proudly served the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War and earned a Bronze Star. He loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and visiting with friends.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Sheila Turner; three daughters, Tammy Gould and her husband, Alexander, Kristy Turner, and Suzanne Brown and husband, Jeremiah; eleven grandchildren, Brandon Gould, Bryce Gould and his wife, Sarah, Tyler Turner and his wife, Amber, Brock Gould and his significant other, Anna, Blake Gould, Benjamin Gould, Isacc Brown, Gabi Gunn, Aidain Brown, Abel Gunn, and Zeph Gunn; seven great-grandchildren, Richard Gerrish, Gracie Turner, Braydon Gould, Elijah Turner, Jaxson Turner, Phoebe Gould, and Killian Gould; four brothers, Carl Turner and his wife, Jackie, Elwin Turner and his wife, Joyce, Wayne Turner, and Earl Turner; sister, Linda Crawford and her husband, Thomas; special aunt, Delores Strout; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Turner; special uncle, Leon “Bud” Strout; and close friend, Timmy Boobar.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be conducted 1PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Central Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, located at 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
