Diane Mary Osgood Obituary

Milo – Diane Mary Osgood, 75, passed away August 23, 2025, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born October 23, 1949, in Milo, the daughter of Richard F. and Geraldine L. (Drinkwater) Harmon.


In her youth, she was involved with the Girl Scouts and also was a camp counselor. Diane was served on the Milo Ambulance. She worked at the American Thread Company and Dexter Shoe as a home lacer. When the shoe shop closed, she had the opportunity to go back to school. She went to Eastern Maine Community College for Culinary Arts where she graduated with honors. After graduation, she worked at St Joseph’s Hospital and the University of Maine, Orono as a cook until retirement.


Diane enjoyed knitting, being at the family camp, and taking day trips with her husband. She loved the family vacations to New Hampshire with her grandkids. Diane loved cooking and baking including reading cookbooks and collecting kitchen gadgets.


Diane is survived by her loving husband, Gardner “Tony” Osgood; two sons, Bryan and his wife, Kristy, and Eric; Mike, who is like a son and brother to the Osgood family; four grandchildren, Theresa, Linsley, Maxwell, and Rhys; and several extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings.


There will not be any services at this time. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Gardner Osgood, 6 Harmon Street, Milo, ME 04463, to assist with expenses.
