Corinth – Gertrude “Susie” Brasslett, 75, passed away peacefully July 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 2, 1949, in Bradford, the daughter of Timothy J. and A. Florence (Conant) Brasslett.
Susie was a kind, generous, and curious soul. She had a fierce love for her family and made sure to show that love as often as she could. She especially had a soft spot for her nieces and nephews and took great pleasure in doling out hugs to them all whenever she entered a room. Susie also had a great love of animals, keeping pets that she doted on for the majority of her life. She took great comfort in her furry friends and it was so important to her that they felt cared for. Susie also had a great love of puzzles and old westerns that she tuned in for regularly. Her infectious smile, strong hugs, and funny quips are already sorely missed.
Susie was lucky enough to have found love in her life and she spent 29 years with Carroll Doyle as faithful partners before he predeceased her in 2010.
Susie is survived by two sisters, Mary Bowman and Barbara Grant and her husband, Carl; two brothers, Richard and Adrian Brasslett and his wife, Shelley; several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Tami Smith. In addition to her parents and her love, Carroll, she was predeceased by three sisters, Dolores Cookson, Anita Bunker, and Jacqueline Lizotte; and two brothers, David and Harry Brasslett. The family would like to thank those that provided Susie with exceptional end-of-life care.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, August 8, 2025, at the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery in Milo, with Pastor Dalton Dunfee officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
