Milo - Stephen W. Beals, 71, passed away July 2, 2025, in a Boston hospital as a result of a heart procedure complication. He was born in Milo on September 24, 1953, to Kenneth and Ruth Beals.
Stephen retired from the Bangor & Aroostook RR after 29 years of service. Stephen owned BJ’s Market in Brownville Jct., and a portable sawmill business. Those who knew Stephen will never forget his contagious smile. His love of his hometown of Milo, and his adopted town of Millinocket. He loved snowmobiling, short track racing, woodworking, and coaching both Basketball and Baseball.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Harrison; and by two sisters, Susan Pichardo and Pamela Lane. Stephen is survived by two sisters, Karen Bowley and Rhonda Ouellette; four brothers, Venton, Paul, Jonathan, and Michael.
Stephen has requested that there be no funeral. He said a final trip to Whitecap Mountain would be appreciated, we will try to make that happen so he can enjoy the beautiful view. So if you’re near Whitecap give him a shout out. Stephen stayed busy and got the most out of each day. If possible a celebration of life will be held early fall.
