Obituary of Linda L. Anderson
Dover-Foxcroft - Linda Anderson, 79, passed away peacefully in her home on June 8th, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born January 8, 1946, she was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Corinne Noyes.
Linda’s life was one marked by deep love, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to family. A proud graduate of Foxcroft Academy, it was there she met and married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence Lamson. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed two daughters, Valerie and Marnie, before Lawrence’s untimely passing.
Linda found her greatest joy in creating warm, lasting memories with her family—most often around the kitchen table, where the smell of her baked goods filled the air and laughter was always on the menu. Her home was a gathering place, where stories were shared, bellies were full, and hearts were even fuller.
Her love extended to the natural world as well. Linda’s gardens were a reflection of her nurturing spirit—each bloom tended with care and patience, just as she watched over those she held dear.
Later in life, Linda found love again with James Anderson, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage before his passing. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion.
Linda is survived by her beloved daughters, Valerie Greenier and her husband, Paul, and Marnie Knight and her husband, Peter; her stepchildren, Pamela Daggett and her husband, Larry, Barbara Engstrom and her husband, Terry, and Scott Anderson and his wife, Sheva. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Zachary Greenier and his wife, Jennifer, Katlyn Engstrom, Heather Wilder and her partner, Scott Jordan, Stephanie White and her husband, Ryan, Kevin Daggett and his wife, Amy, Casandra Beals and her husband, Eric, Miranda Engstrom, Amber Anderson and her fiancé, Jared Sargent, Rebecca Anderson, and Jenna Anderson. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Addison and Emma Greenier, Kason and Abrey White, Madi Dunphy and her partner, Kira, Hudson Daggett, and Lincoln Beals.
A woman of quiet strength and infinite love, Linda’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
In honor of Linda’s memory, her family asks that you think of her when the lilacs bloom, and smile—just as she always did when surrounded by the people and the flowers she loved most.
A celebration of life is planned for June 29th from 2-4 pm at the Methodist Church in Dover - Foxcroft. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Lafayette Cancer Care of Maine, 33 Whiting Hill Road, Brewer, Maine 04412.
