Obituary of Howard "Danny" Durant

Brownville – Howard “Danny” Durant, 50, passed away suddenly May 3, 2025. He was born December 2, 1974, in Milo, the son of Carol Durant Witham and Howard D. Webb. Danny grew up a small town boy and even though he lived in many different places, he always kept that small town soul. Those different places are what led him to meet the love of his life Roslin at age 17 and they remained inseparable until his passing 33 years later. He loved hunting, fishing and being out in the woods as any true Mainer does. Sports was another great passion of his from his love of racing and #24Jeff Gordon to all the Boston sports teams the Red Sox, Celtics, and of course his favorite the New England Patriots. Out of all these things there was something even more important to him and that was of course his family! Danny loved his family more than anything in his life and that includes ones that were blood and ones that were not. If you were important to him then he considered you family and would do absolutely anything for them. 7 years ago he became a grandfather to his only grandchild Aria-Lee and she quickly became his whole world. He would get her off the bus almost every day and spent a lot of time with her and he cherished that time he had. He loved being called her Papi, it brought a smile to his face every time he heard it. He may be gone, but he made an enormous impact on a lot of peoples' lives. He is going to be sorely missed though never ever forgotten. He was a great man, but an even greater father to his 3 children who promise to make him proud as we all say goodbye. Danny is survived by his wife, Roslin (Yarbrough) Durant; three children, Coltin, Cherish, and Cyle Durant; granddaughter, Aria-Lee Durant; mother, Carol Durant Witham; father, Howard Webb; brothers, Steven Small and David Webb; sister, Emma Webb; special family friend, Crystal Cartwright; and best friend, Robert Brown Sr. A graveside service will be held 4PM Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. A celebration of Danny’s life will be after the service at the Brownville Legion Hall. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary funeral Home.
