On behalf of the entire Bishop Guertin Community, I offer our most heartfelt condolences. We were all truly heartbroken to hear of Pat's passing. We hope that you have been comforted by the love, care and support of your family and friends. Please know we will keep you all in our thoughts, in our prayers and in our hearts during the difficult days ahead. Pat was a classmate of my daughter's at BG so I knew him well - in and out of the classroom. The world has indeed lost a shining star.
May Pat's memory be eternal and may he be escorted into Paradise.

To the Hefferan Family,
When I read this obituary I was moved to write my condolences to you because Patrick seemed to be a wonderful person, husband, and father. I've lost loved ones myself and words can't express the pain that comes with losing someone in death.
I didn't have the privilege of meeting Patrick personally but, I'm sure he touched many people's lives and I'm sure he will be missed dearly. I hope you find comfort in your family and loved ones.
You can also find comfort in this scripture, it has helped me during times of distress: "Throw all your anxiety on him (God), because he cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7

I am so very sorry to learn of Patrick's passing. Death has such a profound impact on us and we do not have the words to express the pain that is in our hearts. I am so incredibly sorry for all who knew and loved Pat. He was like a ray of sunshine at SeDoMoCha. He lit up every room with his presence and kept us all laughing with his quick wit and his funny cartoons. My son with Down syndrome was lucky enough to be one of his students. One day, he had been overly stubborn for Pat and I asked in exasperation, "Don't you like Mr. Hefferan?" to which he responded, "Mom, I love him!" He was not the only one. We all loved working with Pat. He will be missed by us all. Prayers for all of his family and all of those who loved him.
