Clifford Walter Durant Obituary

Brownville - Clifford Walter Durant, 94, passed away January 20, 2025, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born April 22, 1930, the son of the late Walter and Alice Durant of Brownville.


Clifford served the U.S. Military and was an Engineer for the CP Railroad, from which he retired many years ago. Clifford, a.k.a, Sonny loved hanging out with his friends and nephew, Robbie .He loved to go to Wild Woods on a Friday night for a burger and a beer with the guys .


Clifford is survived by his daughter, Becky Ellis and husband, Wayne of Abbot; daughter, Carol Witham of Brownville Junction; daughter, Linda Perkins and husband, Glen of Tennessee; grandchildren, Alicia, Rachael and husband, Josh, Brian, Danny and wife, Roslyn, Steven, and Maddy; great-grandchildren, Landon, Willow, Piper, Breanna , Gabe, Kobe , Trinity, Cherish, Colton, Cyle, Taylor, Nick, and Logan; great-great-granddaughter, Aria; and several nieces, nephews, and dear close friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Snookie Durant, and sister, Mildred Mitchell.


There will be a celebration of life at Wild Woods to be announced and graveside services in the spring.
