This is so heartbreaking Betty was an awesome mom/wife grandmother and friend.i met her at smokeys Pizza we worked together..her patience and smile was always comforting.she was very special person.i could talk to her about anything and she would tell you honestly how she felt. We had alot of good times and alot of laughs.my heart goes to anyone that loved her/knew her she was 1 of a kind!my prayers and hugs go to jake/peter/Scott and Chris and families.she will always be in my heart.

At our 60th reunion gathering this past summer, Ned Cobb and I reminisced about our adventures sharing a room with "Bea-n-Betty" on our class trip to New York City and Washington, DC. To Jake, Scott, Peter, Chris, and your families, I am so very sorry for your loss. Betty was a sweet lady. She always had a smile on her face. We often chatted on Facebook about the Red Sox, about cats, and also last summer about the many crickets we both had in our homes. Our last chat was earlier this week after another cricket came out of who knows where in here! I will miss our chats. Betty, you will be very much missed in our community. I was a sophomore at FA and Betty was a senior - our lockers not too far apart. One day I overheard the sharing of gossip with her best friend Bea King and a couple of others, but it was her laughter and wit that I remember. Not outspoken nor ever loud but it was clear the attention was on her. When my cousin married Betty I had him pegged as the luckiest man in the world. One night months later I went to visit them at their single wide located just south of Jakes home on South Street. My vocabulary was never impressive, ( still isn't ) but I innocently let a couple of inappropriate words spill out. Betty shook her head and said " Earl I hope you never talk like that in front of your mother or Doris cuz if you do one of them will surely will 'brain' you." Did I heed her words of wisdom? Yup I did. And obviously never forgot that evening. Betty you will never be forgotten and will live forever in everyone's hearts.
