Greenville - Roberta Jean Florence, 65, of Greenville, Maine, passed away in her home unexpectedly on Saturday, November 25, 2017.  Born on June 23, 1952, in Dover-Foxcroft and educated in Greenville, she was the daughter of Patricia Lavigne of Greenville, step-father, Thomas Lavigne, and was predeceased by her father, Robert John Hamilton. 

Roberta was a hard worker who thrived on working with the public.  She enjoyed working with flowers and horses as well as painting and especially loved Keith Urban and her cat, Ziggy. 

She is survived by her sons, Kirk Hamilton and James Grant Jr.; brothers, Robert Jr., Randy, Rocky and Rusty; sisters, Rita and Rene'; grandchildren, Mariah, Nikki, James III, Patience and Dillan; great grandchildren, Landen, Oakley and James IIII, as well as many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special friends.  Roberta was very proud of her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the United Methodist Church in Greenville Jct. at 11:00 a.m., with a reception and celebration of her life directly following at the West Cove Lounge.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the “Pets Program” c/o Mary Shapleigh, 415 Milo Road, Dover Foxcroft, Maine 04426.  Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Greenville.
