Winter Haven, FL and Dover-Foxcroft - Greta Scott Sutton of Winter Haven, Florida, returned to her heavenly home after a valiant battle with dementia on November 5, 2017.  She was 90 years old.  Greta was born on April 26, 1927, to Christine and Beecher Scott in Charleston, Maine.  She was a 1945 graduate of Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston, Maine.  She graduated from Beauty School in Bangor, Maine.  Greta moved with her family to Winter Haven, Florida in 1972 after the loss of her beloved husband, Orville W. Lanpher.  After moving to Winter Haven, she had a very successful career in real estate.  She loved Maggie Valley, North Carolina, where she owned and operated a hotel and campground in her later years before she retired at age 70.

Greta is survived by her daughters, Sherry Titus Krug and Pamela Titus Wood; her son, Robert “Bob” Lanpher and her daughter-in -law, Amy Lanpher; her step-daughters, Joan Lanpher and Mary Rideout; grandchildren, Adam Krug, Jeffrey Hagelin, Kelly Krug, Hollie Krug, Ashley Lanpher Cretcher, Kara Lanpher, Kayleigh Lanpher; great granddaughter, Ava Cretcher; her brother, Keith Scott; and sister, Charlene Scott Trull. 

Visitation with the family will be held from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft.  Burial will be in the family lot in the Dover Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
