Dover-Foxcroft – Colleen T. Merrill, wife of Merle A. Merrill, passed away September 8, 2017, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Carroll and Alice (Brawn) Tyler.

Colleen took great pride in becoming a CNA and always took wonderful care of her patients.  Her family was most important to her; she especially loved spending summers at Sebec Lake with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Merle, of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter, Judith Pruneau and her husband, Ralph, of Fairfield Glade, TN; a son, Terry Merrill and his wife, Crickette, of Kennebunkport; 4 grandchildren, Scott Pruneau, Heather Johnson, Brent Merrill, and Dean Merrill; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell Tyler and his wife, Betty, of Melbourne, FL; a sister, Gloria Kinison of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call from 2pm until time of funeral service at 3pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Tree Camp, 114 Pine Tree Road, Rome, ME 04963 or to Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
