Obituary of Shaun M. Thompson

Please share a memory of Shaun to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bradford and Charleston – Shaun M. Thompson, 36, died unexpectedly in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the home of friends. He was born June 11, 1981, at Pease AFB Hospital in Newington, NH to Paul and Donna (Perkins) Thompson.

Shaun was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Class of 2000, and had worked at Pleasant River Lumber for several years. He spent most of his life involved in music in one way or another – ending up playing a mean bass guitar. He was also very artistic and very much enjoyed a weekend spent at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

He will be greatly missed by not only his mother and stepfather, Donna and Kevin McEwen of Charleston, but also his father and stepmother, Paul and Jenna Thompson of Goldsboro, NC. He leaves his “big” brother, David Thompson and wife, Beth, of Argyle; step-sisters, Mylene Potter, Valerie O’Steen, and Vanessa and Beth McEwen; his daughter, Julianna Thompson and her mom, Christina Tirrell, of Bradford, and her extended family; an uncle, Marty Perkins and wife, Donna, of Ronan, MT; grandparents, Marjorie Hagelin of Charleston, and Donald and Jill Perkins of Corinth; many aunts and uncles on his father’s side (Nikki, Shawn, Kenny, Joe, Peggy and Jeannie). He has too many friends to list individually, but our thanks go out to Shaun’s best friend, Jim Doore and his partner, Heather McCoy, and his parents, Galen and Kathy Doore.

Shaun was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Jean Colson; stepfather, Jim Hamilton, and step-grandfather, Joe Hagelin.

A memorial service will be conducted 1pm Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
