Dover-Foxcroft – Sharon A. Edgerly, 70, passed away August 10, 2017, at Hibbard Nursing Home.  She was born December 28, 1946, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Herbert E. Sr. and Marion A. (Noyes) Edgerly. 

Sharon had worked as a CNA at Hilltop Manor for many years. She enjoyed her time on a local bowling team; she liked playing cards and board games, and spending time with her granddaughters. Sharon will also be remembered as the only Yankees fan in her family.

She is survived by a son, Paul Edgerly and his wife, Michelle, of Kenduskeag; four granddaughters, Katie, Cheyenne, Elizabeth and Haylee; two great grandchildren, Kaiden and Adeline; three brothers, Malcolm “Mac” Edgerly, Herbert Edgerly Jr, and Jeffrey Edgerly; a sister, Mary Dow and her husband, Ralph; two nephews, Herbert and William; and a niece, Jennifer.

Sharon’s family extends a very special thank you to Hibbard Nursing Home and staff for the excellent care and love that they showed Sharon while she was there.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11am Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the family lot in Dover Cemetery, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating.  After the service, a time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds Dining Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hibbard Nursing Home Activity Fund, 1037 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, Maine 04426.
