Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Parkman - On Saturday, June 17, 2017, our dear mother went to be with the Lord and reunite with Dad, to dance on the streets of gold with him. Mom was born on October 12, 1934, to Dewey and Esther Davis in Parkman, Maine. She lived most of her life in Parkman where she raised her six children and made her life with dad. She worked at Hardwood Products and retired from there and traveled frequently to Florida with dad to visit their daughter and son-in-law. Barbara spent the last four years at Hilltop Manor in Dover-Foxcroft and made many friends there. She will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her and those at Hilltop who cared for her.

She was predeceased by her husband, David S. Thurlow in 2010; a daughter Patsy Mesaric in 2012; her parents, Esther and Dewey Davis; brothers, Millard, Lloyd and Marvin; and sisters, Hildred, Carolyn and Fern.

She is survived by her children, Arlene Mars and her husband, Ron, of Parkman, Robert Thurlow and his companion, Patty Lary, of Atkinson, David Thurlow and his wife, Eva, of Parkman, Bonnie Dickinson and her husband, Fred, of Florida, and Rose Perkins and her husband, Shane, of Abbot; a sister, Elaine; and brothers, Wayne, Omar and Wade. She leaves 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends and extended family.

A celebration of mom’s life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 10:00 at the Parkman Baptist Church with a graveside committal at the Pingree Center Cemetery after the service. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Guilford. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
