Obituary of Rose Ann Mutch

Parkman- Rose Ann Mutch, 71, passed away at home last week after a short illness. She was born September 3, 1945 in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of William and Gertrude Tozer. Rose received a B.A. in History from Nazareth College of Rochester and a Master’s degree from the University of Dayton, where she met the love of her life, Byron Mutch, who preceded her in death, as did her sister, Christine Pipher. She is survived by her brother, William Tozer, Jr., and her sister, Kathleen Gregory, as well as many friends who brightened her life, including her neighbors, the Raymond, Hall, O’Donnell, Maynard, Lackey, and Cole families; friends, Bev Crockett, Sam Brown, Liz Breault; the members of the Abbott Memorial Library Book Club; her friend since childhood, Cathy Cardwell, and many others. All will miss her bright smile, kindness, and indomitable spirit. A memorial service to celebrate Rose’s life is being planned for spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
